This group, with both male and female members, shares a common interest in all things aviation related, both civil as well as military.
The members’ background varies considerably. Some are retired RAF flying personnel and ground crew. Others have a diverse civil aviation background and some hold, or have held, private pilot licences. Then there is the group who have an interest in aviation just as a hobby.
It is a friendly and social bunch, who meet during the winter months, from October till May when the meetings have the form of indoor talks or presentations, largely by members-for-members, but outside speakers are invited as well.
In the summer months the group visits museums, airshows or anything worth visiting in relation to aviation. It is worth noting that the summer months’ gatherings are on the 3rd Thursday of the month and cover a whole day.
The group is open to new members and a background in aviation is NOT necessary.
