A proposed coach trip to Maidenhead to take a cruise and see the sights of river life while enjoying a lunch served on shipboard.
Our annual Lunch Cruise on the Thames took place on September 25th 2025. This was an enormous success for the 57 people who went with yet again wonderful weather and a delicious three course lunch. Because of the number who went we were able to include a glass of prosecco on arrival plus a glass of wine or beer with lunch. Sitting on deck we were able to see cormorants and red kites flying around and wonder at the mansions flanking the river. This year we went from Maidenhead rather than Windsor and we had been warned that there was a flight of steps down to the boat. However there were only six steps and from the bottom one it was literally one step to get on to the boat. The coach driver was excellent and kept us amused on the journey. He was also able to make last minute detours to miss the jams on the dreaded M25. So many people have asked me to put their names down for next year that I have provisionally booked a trip for Wednesday September 23rd. 2026.
