Crowborough u3a’s Geology group is a mixed ability group made up of 10 enthusiastic beginners including a smattering of graduate geologists (qualifications 40 or so years out of date, so we’re all beginners really!).
Having been through the start-up phase of conducting a set of introductory talks for the absolute novice, we have reached the point where we can each research a topic and spend 10 minutes sharing it with the rest of the group in a supportive setting.
We meet in each other’s houses once a month which means that we need to keep the group compact in order to accommodate meetings, but as long as we have vacancies, we would love to welcome you. We like to get out into the field at least once a year, trying not to let the weather be a barrier to a great day out.
If you’re interested in the world around us and want to learn more about the processes that govern our planet, then why not join us?
