Canasta (All Abilities)

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: Weekly on Thursday mornings 09:45-12:00
Venue: Crowborough Community Centre

Originally this group was Beginners Canasta, but over the years it has developed, and progressed, and now includes everybody who plays Canasta, except Beginners.

With this in mind I would like to launch a short introduction to the game, for people who have never played the game, or, who have heard that it is a good game to learn. In the basic form it is a very sociable game with people enjoying playing with friends, a certain amount of competitiveness , and good humour.

Most of my original people have developed into really good players, and have moved on to a more serious game known as Samba. But quite a few still play the original game. For this new venture I need people who have either watched Canasta, and thought it quite interesting, or, who have never played card games and don’t know if they could learn to play it. I don’t need experienced players, or who have played for a short time.

So if you feel you would like to have a go, contact me, it would be best if you could come for two or three sessions, so you could take on the skills involved .

I’m Anne March and I’ve been teaching this game for over ten years now, if you are interested in giving it a go, then please contact me via this website.
