Crowborough

All of our members started out with little writing experience and the focus of the group is to WRITE CREATIVELY rather than maintaining a strict adherence to the prescribed structural correctness of the English language.

At the start of the year, using suggestions from the group, a list of assignment titles is compiled. A single title being assigned to the whole group for each month.

At each meeting members individually present the pre-prepared contribution they have written for that chosen assignment.

The variations and originality of the contributions that are created from each assigned title together with the confidence gained in presenting them, and the social exchanges, are all important elements of the relaxed atmosphere of our meetings, and they contribute to the ongoing sense of achievement that is enjoyed by the group as a whole.
