The metal detecting group has now been reactivated after a long period of inaction and is looking forward to exploring new sites: we would welcome any new members particularly anyone who has legal permission to access areas of general or historical interest i. e. farmland, derelict buildings etc.
The group observes the guidelines recommended by the National Council for Metal Detecting and are all members thereof.
Ownership of a metal detector is desirable and advisable although not essential but enthusiasm for the hobby and the great outdoors is!
Meetings take place at 2pm on the second Monday of the month on a rota basis in member's homes, primarily for the purpose of arranging and co-ordinating venues for investigation.
