Our group is not designed to teach the language, but rather to appeal to those who already have some knowledge of French, and wish to have the opportunity to improve their conversation. Everybody participates at his/her level of ability; the only requirement is to have a go.
We have a lot of fun and laughter and the atmosphere is very relaxed . Naturally we sometimes have difficulty in expressing ourselves, but with the friendly help of other members and a language app we manage to make ourselves understood. We converse on a wide range of topics with sometimes hilarious results. We also enjoy lending each other our own French books and DVDs. We contribute 50p each towards refreshments at meetings.
