We are a small group of people who, quite simply, love Poetry. We appreciate the beauty of words, 'the best words in the best order'.
Since the beginning of 2025 we have been using an anthology that is new to us, called 'Staying Alive’ and have also returned to our much loved anthology ‘Poetry Please’.
Our sessions are an exploration of both poets lives and influences and the poems themselves.
We each enjoy preparing a biography of our chosen poets, select 3 of their poems, to read aloud, explore the language and meaning as a group.
We are meeting many poets completely unknown to us, especially in 'Staying Alive' which is proving quite a challenge.
We have lots of laughs, and enjoy our social and intellectual meetings. We could accommodate two new members. Give us a try, we would welcome new ideas.
