Our meetings are a sociable and enjoyable way of listening to the music you enjoy. Most of the music we listen to is the music from our younger days.
There is no limit to the numbers of members we can accommodate and we will be delighted to welcome anyone who is interested in the music..
Each month we have two musical presentations lasting one hour, with a short interval in between. Our presentations often include music and videos from YouTube, but there are times when we play our actual singles for nostalgia.
Presentations are shared among the members, but there is no pressure to give a presentation. Your enjoyment is paramount.
At least once a year, we have refreshments after the presentation, so that we have time to socialise.
We have an annual concert in the main hall in the evening featuring local and professional bands, which is open to all u3a members.
Some of our recent presentations are as follows:
- Woodstock
- From Route 66 to the Flamingo
- Another bunch of 45's
- My Desert Island Discs
- My Year of Rock - 1970
