Welcome to our sewing group. This is a newly formed group for anyone interested in sewing at any level. Complete beginner or expert you will find a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere and a shared interest in sewing.
The aim is to achieve items which are fun and not too difficult to make/alter or repurpose: for example: tablecloths, aprons, pillowcases, simple tops, pyjama trousers, children’s clothing, small pouches and purses, shopping bags, – the list is endless.
Don’t worry if you haven’t sewn for years, get that sewing machine out of the loft, give it a good clean and a little oil, a new needle and you are good to go. Help is at hand, with friendly advice, hints and tips and laughter along the way.
For a friendly chat, contact the group leader.
The first meeting is on Thursday 10th September in Room 3 at the Community Centre.
