We are a small, friendly group of collectors and we meet in our homes to share our collecting interests, using different themes each month to explore items from our collections. This is an opportunity to show collections which are, typically, hidden away in cupboards and to investigate, learn and share what we have found about the interesting history, geography and many other aspects that are depicted on stamps, coins and postcards. We often enhance the theme story with other related items such as books or maps.
In our meetings we also take a coffee break, share collecting news and have a mini quiz. Further, we offer all u3a members the opportunity of an 'evaluation' of any stamps, coins or postcards in their possesion to help members to identify what they are and to help answer any questions. We welcome interactions with any members who have an interest in our area.
